Cameron Campbell,
Director

What Cameron does

  • Directing and managing the business

  • Training junior engineers and facilitating sub-contractors

  • Liaising with stakeholders in the private and public sector

  • Preparation of scope of works and quotations

  • Design, supervision, inspection and certification of design and constructed works

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), RPEQ, CPEQ, NER

Cameron started his career as an engineer as a fresh 21-year-old straight out of university. He commenced work as a junior engineer with Albem Pty Ltd in civil engineering on the Sunshine Coast, where he worked on bridge construction projects.

He later moved to Crocker and Associates and continued working in civil engineering while pursuing structural engineering. Concurrently, Cameron oversaw the NATA-registered laboratory for soil and concrete testing.

Nine years later, Cameron travelled from Alaska to San Diego, working as a farm hand, carpet layer, and furniture removalist along the way. He returned to Crocker and Associates for another two years, met his now wife, and they set off overseas for another year. Cameron and Anita went to Spanish school in Quito, worked on an ecotourism farm in north Ecuador for a short period and then travelled further in Central and South America before heading to Europe.

Returning to Australia at the end of 2005, he resettled in Stanthorpe and started his own business, trading as Crecer Consulting, where he undertook civil and structural engineering projects in the Granite Belt, South East Queensland and Central Queensland.

By late 2014, Cameron was ready for a new challenge and stepped into a Senior Engineer role with EBIS (Engineering Building Investigation Services) in Warana, Sunshine Coast, where he worked from 2015 until the end of 2019. In this role, he specialized in residential and commercial building design, conducted geotechnical and remedial inspections, and reports for the QBCC. His also supervised and supported design staff and technicians, mentored junior engineers, collaborated with stakeholders and government, developed project scopes and quotations, and oversaw the design, construction, inspection, and certification of completed works.

In 2020, Cameron and his family returned to the Granite Belt, and he started C Consulting Engineers, which provides structural and civil engineering services in the Granite Belt and wider region, including Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Cameron loves achieving workable and cost-effective engineering solutions to designs.

BSc (Environmental Science),
Grad Dip Education (Secondary)

Anita undertakes our bushfire assessments, stormwater reports, planning reports and botanical surveys. In her early career she worked as a field officer for the Department of Natural Resources in research on water quality in acid sulphate soils, as well as nitrogen and phosphorus uptake in secondary effluent treated Eucalyptus robusta and Chloris gayana. Anita then moved from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and worked in environmental consulting, undertaking large environmental surveys on Stradbroke Island, the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane. She also worked with the Pumicestone Catchment Association on best management practices in erosion and sediment control on pineapple farms.

Anita met Cameron at the Sunshine Coast and after travelling together for a period, they settled in Anita’s birth place of Stanthorpe.

She has been an active volunteer for a number of community organisations and volunteered as a counsellor on the Australian Breastfeeding Association helpline for 10 years. Anita currently serves as a community member on the Stanthorpe Shire River Improvement Trust and the Warwick River Improvement Trust.
